This is no easy accomplishment. Each of us knows the hours we put into mak- ing it so. Each man should be proud of those hours. We have trained for a national emergency which we hope will never come about, and yet, if it did happen, we are ready. It is the Navy's mission to be well trained and always ready at sea. We are prepared for that mission. This Cruise Pamphlet was prepared to show you, the men of the Spiegel Grove at work, and at play. It is a memory bank for Carib 3-67. For the Seaman Duece straight from Boot Camp, this is his first cruise, for the uOl' Saltn, this is just one of many. But never fear, there are the good times and bad times, long hours and late sleepers, mid watches and holiday routines that will never be forgotten,
