WE BELIEVE . . . in the policies of our board of education. We think that we have the finest mem- bers anywhere . . . always reaching out for greater improvements . . . better facilities . . . and higher standards . We believe . . . our faculty has guided us through our high school yea rs and led us out of the shadows of ignorance into the light of knowledge and exper- ience. The faculty of SHS is ever ready to lend un- derstanding and encou ragement to any student. ing an air of friendliness in our school . . . talked with us about serious matters . . . joked with us when it wouldn't interfere with class routine . . . and taught us the reason for discipline. We all owe a vote of thanks to our fine teachers . . . for being friendly, courteous, kind, sympathe- tic, forceful, and all of the other qualities that it takes to make a good teacher. We offer a very special thanks to our friendly and helpful annual sponsor, Mrs. Etta Simerly. She has become a lasting and valuable friend to every member of the staff. Without her the problems we faced could not have been mastered.
