Miss Gladys Cooper, chairman of the Home Economies De- partment, is a graduate of Ohio State University and State College of Washington. DEPARTMENT OF HOME ECONOMICS d . K ' .. r a Mrs. Mae Roper is visiting lecturer in the Home Economics Department for the 1959-60 school year. She received her training at Spelman College and Howard University, and she has done further study at Ohio State University. She is also work- ing with the Concerts and Enter- tainment Committee.

She has done fur- ther study at the University of Mexico, Colum- bia University, and the University of Grenoble. DEPARTMENT OF Madame Irene D. Jackson is prov fessor of French. A graduate of Spelman, she received the Mastefs degree from Middlebury College and recently received the doctorate from UUniversite de Toulouse. Madame W. Geter Thomas heads the Foreign Language Department. She has spent a great deal of time abroad and has returned to us this year after a year in France. Madame Thomas received her AB. degree from Boston University and the MA. degree from Radcliffe. She holds several degrees and diplomas from French universities.
