DEPARTMENT OF BIOLOGY Dr. Helen T. Albro is head of the Biology Department. She received her A.B., M.A. and Ph.D. degreem from Brown Uni- versity. Dr. Albro holds the distinction of having given more years of service to Spelman than any other faculty member. She is the sponsor of the Biology Club. Dr. Barnett F. Smith is a graduate of Morehouse College and Atlanta University. He received his Ph.D. degree from the University of Wisconsin. Dr. Smith has done research in sev- eral areas of biology, the latest on parasites. Mrs. Bettye Burts Brown joined the Department of Biology this year. She is a graduate of Spelman College. Mrs. Louise Eagleson received her A.B. degree from Spelman and MS. degree from Atlanta Uni- versity. Miss Delores Williams received the BS. and M.S. degrees from Texas Southern University. Mrs. Ray Chatman Scott, a graduate of Spel- man College, received the M.Mus.Ed. degree from Indiana University.

DEPARTM ENT OF EDUCATION AND PSYCHOLOGY Dr. Oran W. Eagleson heads the Department of Education and Psychology. Miss B. La Conyea Butler joined the De- partment of Education and Psychology this year. She received her AB. degree from Spel- man in 1956 and the M.A. degree from Boston University in 1957. Since then, Miss Butler has done further study at Howard University and at New York University. Mr. X. L. Neal is a grad- uate of Morehouse College and Atlanta University. He received the Ph.C. de- gree from Meharry Medi- cal College. Dr. K. A. Huggins is an exchange teacher from Atlanta University. He received the AB. degree from Morehouse College and the MS. and PhD. degrees from the Univer- sity of Chicago. Mrs. Margaret B. Young jojned the Spelman faculty in 1958. She received her BA. degree from Kentucky State College and her M.A. degree from the University of Minnesota. Mrs. Young supervises the student teaching program on the secondary level. Miss Christine King is a graduate of Spelman and of Teachers College, Columbia University. Mrs. Beatrice Williams received the AB. degree from Fisk Uni- versity and the MA. degree from Teachers College, Columbia Univer- sity. Mrs. Williams supervises the student teaching program on the elementary level. Mrs. S. T. Richardson is a graduate of Tuskegee Institute and of Teachers College, Columbia University.
