Eagleson has been both our friend and our advisor in performing the duties of his office as Dean of Instruction. It is Dr. Eagleson who is in charge of arranging the courses of in- struction and the major and minor programs. His office atmosphere has become one. of informality as students go in and out seeking his ad- vice.

DEAN OF WOMEN Mrs. Irene M. Asbury received the A.B. de- gree from Spelman and her MA. degree from Washington University. She and her staff have worked diligently to bring about more closely knit relationships among the student body, and to encourage the students to take an active part in government; the leadership training program has been initiated to help promote this end. As Mrs. Asbury has worked with us and for us, our admiration and de- votion for her have grown. ASSISTANT DEAN OF WOMEN SECRETARY TO THE DEAN OF WOMEN Carolyn Crawford, a 1959 graduate of Spelman College, returned to us this school year as secretary to the Dean of Women and Coordina- tor of Student Activities. 3;!ttttts v Mrs. Cecilia Mercer this year joined the ad- ministration as Assistant Dean of Women.
