DEPARTMENT OF BUILDINGS AND GROUNDS Mrs. A. T. W'ilsonJ Jr., came to Spclman in Sep- tember of 1956 to fill the position of Superinten- dent of Buildings and Grounds, Mr. Wilson is a graduate of Fort Valley State College. He has also done graduate study at Purdue Personnel Psychology Housing Institute, Fellowship Center, Wallingford, Pennsylvania. The secretary in the office of Buildings and Grounds is Mrs. Esther Ware, a graduate of Morris Brown College. w- unnamm HOSTESS Miss Ruth G. Rush is the oiECial hostess of Spelman Col- lege. Her duties involve preparing for guests and overseeing the general maintenance of the dormitories. THE LIBRARY The Iibrzuy, located in Giles Hall, has grown greatly since it began. The- collection of books and the new equipment such as audio-visual aids serve the needs of the faculty and students. Mrs. Mexico H. Miekelbury eupper rightL a graduate of Spel- man College and Atlanta University, is the College Librarian. Her assistant is Miss Alene B. Coley heroes Ieftj, who holds the A.B. and M.L.S. degrees from North Carolina College. Mrs. Amanda Bailey eacross rightj is acting assistant for 1956-1957.

L ALUMNAE OFFICE Mrs. Ernestine E. Brazeal is our Alumnae Sacretary. She is in charge of preserving all records of Spclman history, Spelman graduates, and former Spelman students. She is also responsible for publication of the Spelman M essenger each quarter. Their chief responsibilities are handling appoint- ments, answering the large volume of mail that comes to thc ofFlce, and caring for the office in the Presidentls absence. Mrs. Marjorie C. Spring llowcr leftl is the secretary to the Dean of Instruction and to Reverend Norman Rates, the College Minister.

SNACK SHOP The Snack Shop was opened in 1955. It has be- come a favorite meeting place and a. necessary part of campus life for students at Spelman. In September of 1955, Mrs. Romell Patterson came to Spclman as manager of the shop. She attendcd Morris Brown College and has had ex- perience as manager of Spcnch Phamacy and of Yates and Milton Drug Stores in Atlanta. DINING HALL The Dining Hall, one of the most popular spots . on our campus, is located in Morgan Hall. Mr. Robert V. Cole, Dietitian and Dircctor 0f the Boarding Department, came to Spclman in September, 1953, after compli'ting internship at Frccdmank Hospital in WashingtonJ D. C. He received the 8.3. degree from Prairie View A. and M. College. Miss Gortrude Davis, a Spclman graduate who rcceivcd the MA. degree from Wayne University, is Assistant Dietitian.
