Spackenkill High School has given us the opportunity to learn and to grow for the past four years. We have all changed and hopefully benefitted from our experiences here. Although our school is young and lacks many of the facilities present in other high schools, it has provided us with many unique opportuni- ties. Now that we are leaving, we can fully realize how much we have been offered here and how much we have contributed. Participation in athletics, music, student government, and drama, to mention only a few activities, has contributed significantly to our total high school experience. The activities of our class have proven to be especially rewarding. Working together as a group has allowed us time to achieve a common goal. Although we have combatted apathy at times, the majority of our ideas have been met with enthusiasm and support. lwish to thank Elise, Lee, Teri, Rhona, Corinne, and Julie for all their help and support. Without their initiative talents the class would never have accom- plished a thing. As a result of their hard work and devotion, we have been able to finance our prom, plan our graduation, and organize many successful class activities. l also wish to thank those seniors who worked with the officers of the prom committee, the graduation committee, and the numerous other class activities. Reflecting upon my role as class president, l feel I have tried to help make the class operate and work up to its fullest potential. Through class confer- ences and open officer meetings, I have tried to involve as many seniors as possible in the leadership of the class. It has been my goal to act on ideas suggested by the class and to introduce these ideas to the class for their approval. Although the presidency has been a difficult job, it has always been rewarding. lwould like to thank John Chambers, Jim McMahon, and Maria Walsh for their guidance, insight and devotion to our class. Theirsuggestions have been helpful throughout the year. They allowed us the freedom to make our own decisions and encouraged us in all our endeavors. ln addition, their help in planning and organizing the prom and graduation was invaluable. We could not have selected three more dedicated advisors. The assistance we received from Dr. Breen, lVlr. Rightmyer, and many of the other teachers contributed to the success of our senior activities. The adminis- tration has given us the freedom and cooperation which we have needed in planning and developing our activities. Although we have had our disagree- ments, the administration has always respected our opinions. Their coopera- tion in planning graduation has been especially helpful. Our senior year marks the end of high school. The influence that the past years has had on our lives is profound. The experiences we have had and the friendships we have made, will never be forgotten. Hnally, l would like to wish the greatest of happiness and success to all the members of the class of. . .
