Home Economics Chapter The USL Home Economics Chapter, organized in 1925, was the first home economics college club in Louisiana. The chapter sends delegates to the Louisiana and American Home Economics Associations ' conventions. Each member receives a club yearbook. The chapter participates in Aggie Day and the district FHA convention held on campus. Members are en- couraged to visit high school home economic classes to pro- mote the profession. Horticulture Club The purposes of this organization are to stimulate interest in horticulture and to assist the horticulture department in any way possible. Verrett, Jr., Bill Bowers. Industrial Arts Club The Industrial Arts Club has as its members students and faculty members of industrial arts. It strives to increase professionalism, establish contacts with industry, and promote the de ' elopment of industrial arts at all levels. The club sponsors field trips to various major industries and has several social events.

Economics and Finance Forum The Economics and Finance Forum aims to further the knowledge of economics and finance by having speakers and sponsoring field trips. Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Activities of this student branch of the Institute of Electrical Engineering and Electronics are to assist electrical engineering students and bring them information via technical speakers, films, and other means. Student paper com- petition is held among the branch and members are also urged to compete in a 12-state regional competition. The branch is also active in En- gineering Day on campus.
