Long after the hard-earned diploma has been received, certain memories at Southwestern will never be forgotten— the times one got soaked between classes even though the sun was shin- ing so brightly just a few minutes before . . . the many hours spent waiting in lines to register, pay fees, buy books, sell books, check General Delivery, eat (The list is practically endless) . . . and the many pleasant hours centered around Cypress Lake, walking down the narrow path on the way to class, a pause to admire the colorful iris, listening to the croaking of the frogs at night, or just peacefully watching one ' s own reflection in the water. Although returning alumni find many outward changes. Southwestern spirit will remain the same. Rich in Tradition . . .

A Friendly Place . . . In spite of an ever-increasing enrollment, Southwestern remains a friendly college. Students are more than just a number or a name in some professor ' s roll book. Many lasting friendships are made here. The Stu is the number one place to make new friends or to meet old ones. In the Stu one can always find someone willing to talk to him and maybe even listen to him.
