VVhaT seemed like jusf a few minuTes laTer, she felT The plane jerk and awoke. She was in New York. She picked up her hoTel informaTion and lug- gage, Then waved down a Taxi. Driving Toward The Waldorf As- Toria, she Took in all The sighTs and The sTrange people. The hoTel was beauTiful! Of course, her sighT see- ing would have To waiT unTil Tomor- row. Darla was up brighT and early SaTurday morning. She checked The fronT desk for name and show- Time of The Broadway play ThaT nighT. The clerk was very poliTe in Telling Darla ThaT 42nd STreeT was showing and ThaT she should buy some Tickefs from The desk as soon as possible. She boughT Two TickeTs, hoping To meef a friend To accompany her. Flying Through The fronT door, camera around her neck, Darla looked around and spoTTed The STaTue of LiberTy. She decided noT To Tour lT Today, since The STaTue was geTTing a face lifT, buT she sTood by The waTerfronT and shoT some fabulous picTures. Now iT was Time To visiT The Empire STaTe Building. Darla could barely believe her eyes when she saw iT. From The sidewalk, she almosT fell over backwards Trying To see The Top of iT.
