WW t. , KATHRYN DREWS The Student Body Treasurer is in charge of the Student Council finances. This person must keep track of all expenditures and deposits. A ledger is kept that contains this information. This position is no easy job. Kathryn Drews meets these standards. She has been a member of the marching band, stage band, All-City Orchestra, and All-City Band. Also, she received second place in the Fort Worth Piano Concerto Contest and jim Wright Congressional Essay Contest. Other awards include an art exhibition and math contest. Kathryn is a member of the National Society of Distinguished American High School Students, Who's Who Among American High School Students, National Honor Society, math club and Concerned Senior Girls. l I LISA WATKINS The Student Body Vice-President is in charge of helping the president and taking charge of the student council when the president is absent. This position is one that changes as the Student Council itself changes. Lisa Watkins is Student Body Vice-President for the 1981-1982 school year. She has been on Student Council for three years, and held offices of Communications Committee Chairman, and Student Environment Committee. Also, Lisa is a member of the National Honor Society, Rebel Rousers, Secretary of Concerned Senior Girls, Art Club, and the Annual Staff. '21 591 .4 ,'t ?, f.?Q?,-af 3 SHARON GIBSON The Secretary of the Student Council is a significant position. Without this person, Student Council could not function. The Secretary takes minutes at all formal meetings and circulates them to all members. Also, all publications and letters are typed by the Secretary. Sharon Gibson is the Student Body Secretary for 1981-1982. She has been a cheerleader, member of the marching band, and gymnastic team. She has won honors in gymnastics at city meets. She was Outstanding junior of the Year at Southwest. Sharon is a member of the National Honor Society, Concerned Senior Girls, and Rebel Rousers. STUDENT BODY OFFICERS 21

Student Bod fficers Within Southwest one can find many leaders. The Student Council represents forty-five of these leaders. Four of these are the Student Body Officers. The President and Vice-President are elected by the student body, the Secretary and Treasurer are appointed by the President. These officers give guidance to the Student Council in all of its many projects. To hold one of these honored positions, one must be dedicated to all students at Southwest. STACY MEASURES The job of president brings many responsibilities. It is a position that requires total dedication and discipline. The President must have leadership qualities and be able to speak in front of people. While the position is trying, it also teaches self- determination and fairness. Stacy Measures is the Student Body President for 1981-1982. She has been in Student Council for four years. She attended the 1981 session Texas Girls State, received Who's Who Among American High School Students, and represented the students of Fort Worth on a committee at the Administration Building. She is also a member of the United High School Council, National Honor Society, Concerned Senior Girls, the Rebel Rousers, Annual Staff, and was a member of the Fort Worth Ballet Company from 1978 to 1980.
