The young team coached by Mr. Hoisin-ton and captained by its two varsity seniors. Rich Powell and Tom Traynor. was defeated by only three teams in fall competition. The Harriers were undefeated in Minneapolis and in Region 5AA. They finished third in the state as a learn and sophomore Dan Roach was ihc individual state champion. What was the secret of success'?? Tbc agony of defeat This one is gonna hurl The Season in Review WEST: A hard fought 6-3 overtime victory. Southwest is always sure to win their opener. SOUTH: This game was a heartbreaking overtime loss played under the lights at Parade Stadium. 11-8 HENRY: We didn't play football that day and consequently lost 21-7. This taught the team that they must be ready every week. NORTH: Bucko broke for 50 yards! The run was good enough for a victory on a slippery field. WASBURN: John Oclfkc opened up the game with a 94 yard kickoff return touchdown, and Chuck Simpkins ended the game with a touchdown reception. However, the Indians were defeated 28-21. CENTRAL: Our 8-0 Homecoming victory. Kiss the queen! Everyone is happy. FARMINGTON. The country boys came down hard on the city boys, resulting in a 13-0 loss for the Indians. EDISON: Broken plays kept Edison in the race for the city title by downing Southwest 18-0. The leader of the team co-captain Jim Quinn and John OclfVc With head coach Lint Levin.
