Yanocek Current Events One of the aims of the social studies department was to provide a more significant current events program. Along with the study of geography, civics, and history, students were encouraged to learn about world affairs through television, newspaper, and magazine media. The twelfth grade accelerated social studies class experimented with a new progrom which included more individual study and reseorch. Mathematics Challenged Students’ Minds The installation of a hook-up to the Pillsbury computer system introduced students to the degree of mathematical skills required in today's world. Use of the computer wos offered to the eleventh and twelfth grade students studying more advanced principles; the junior high concentrated on mastering the basic mathematical skills.
