Sundin Miss L. Telander Mrs. 0. Welch Students Encountered New English Programs Several chonges were included in the English program. The most revolutionary change was the new schedule for qualified seventh graders. They studied Spanish, English, and geogrophy in a two hour block. This will enable the students to pursue a language for six years. Another co-operative teaching program was the combining of American history and American literature in the eighth grade. This provided a flexible schedule so that students could meet in one or two groups. Art ond music teachers acted os resource teachers in order to broaden the course. Twelfth grode enriched English wos improved by using two teachers who each emphasized the humanities. TOP CENTER: Mr. Mayr, our foreign exchonge teacher.
