For the sixth consecutive year the harriers ran off with the city trophy, making it the seventh time in eight years. The next week Coach Al Halley s boys proved that conditioning pays off in trophies, and championships, when they also dominated the State Meet. The Indians obtained a perfect record by also sweeping every dual and triangular contest in their most successful season. Fran Guertin repeated as the City individual champion. In the State Meet. Bill Phillios took the top honors by out-pacing the entire field. Fran Guertin was next for the Indians with third place, followed by Tom Peterson.
