if .352 Student Council President Carl Chinnery introduced Kay Ya- suda, Southwest's foreign ex- change student, to Southwest. Activities and action were the keynote of this year's assemblies. The programs ranged from the classical music of the Kansas City Philharmonic and Handel's Hallelujah Chorus of the Concert Choir to the long awaited jazz assembly. En- tertaining skits were presented to ad- vertise school and organization activi- ties. Special music was presented to augment the spirit of the season. The numerous assemblies have effectively enhanced the education and enthusiasm of the student body. Again the versatile Sachem staff was a smash-N ing success in their annual campaign dramaturgy. During their annual convention, the Future Farmers of America chorus entertained us with a varied repertoire. At last the long auvafited jazz assembly became a blue note reality. 25
