HIGH SCHOOL PRINCIPAL, MR.. KENNETH LYSSY This year Southwest High School has expanded and prospered under the pilotage of Kenneth Lyssy, its principal. Mr. Lyssy obtained his formal edu- cation at St. Mary's University. Hehas served South- west as Teacher, Assistant Principal, and now as Principal. Mr. Lyssy has made a great contribution to dis- trict and loc al teachers' association work, having served as treasurer of the District Teachers' State Association, and as co-chairman to handle arrange- ments for the State convention held in San Antonio this year. He has been president ofthe local South- west Teachers' Association for 1967 -68. Leading a capable ad min is t r ati v e staff, our favorite dragon, Mr. Lyssy, helps solve any problems which may arise during the year.

ASSISTANT S UPERINTENDENT, MR. CLAYTON C. NORRIS Mr. Clayton C. Norris, a capable leader effi- ciently serving the Southwest Independent School District as Assistant Superintendent, d oes not even remotely begin to describe the value of the contri- butions and services rendered by Mr. Norris. Receiving his formal education from Texas A. 85 I. University, Mr.'Norris has served Southwest for two years, working closely with the personnel of the school district and handling the many details involved in administering the curriculum and other programs in the educational field. His ye ars of experience and knowledge in ad- ministrative work in sp i re s confidence in all who know him and work under his leadership.

VIC E-PRINCIPA L, COL. A. D. HALL Colonel Hall has served Southwest School District many ye ars in various teaching and administrative capacities, including te ach i n g history, acting as Vice-Principal for Ju ni o r High and S e n i o r High School, Dean of Boys, and as former Administrative Assistant to the Superintendent of Southwest schools. Col. Hall's faithful devotion to the school and student body is best exemplified in his innate ability to coordinate the administration of school activities with a warm, sincere attitude toward counseling stu- dents in every level of our school life. Many ex-students have found that Col. Hall's friendship and influence are in large part responsible for helping mold their character and finding a place of service in future career choices.
