junior Achievement is a non-profit international organization. Achievers sell stock for initial capital. Raw
materials are purchased to manufacture a product. The company pays wages, salaries, commissions, and taxes. A
Board of Directors is organized and officers elected. Volunteer advisors from local businesses provide manage-
130 ment consulting assistance. Participating area businesses are: Chemung Canal, Hilliard, IBM, Facet, Corning Glass,
Westinghouse, and Star-Gazette.
