Their first year as upper classmen placed an additional responsibility upon
the shoulders of the Juniors. With Jack Prunier re-elected president, they got off
to an early start with a Halloween round and square dance. When Thanksgiving
rolled around, the Juniors began selling chances on a prize turkey. 'SWant a chance?"
became the popular phrase of the month. The first term came to a close with the
annual White Christmas Dance. The junior class was well represented at the Senior
Carnival with novelties. The exceptional talent of the class was shown in the pres-
entation of the first Junior Play in the history of the school. The name of this very
successful production was N320 College Ave.', The highlight of the social season
was the Junior Day Assembly and the Prom. With this gala affair, the class of ,-l8
climaxed their third successful year of social activities, but now gaily anticipate-
their Senior year.

As veterans of three years at Southside High School, the Junior Class is anxious
to take over the Senior activities, even though the first three years have passed too
swiftly. They recall with horror the struggles of their Freshman year. Under the
able guidance of their advisers, i'Ma,' Bogart and "Prof" Krouse, they elected
David Eichner president. After successfully presenting the White Christmas Dance
and a skating party at the Grotto, they allied with the junior class in presenting
the Buddy Dance. Their first real honor was the Freshman Dav Assembly and
dance.
The following year they felt much more at home at Southside. They elected
Jack Prunier president and things got under way. The first activity was the White
Christmas Dance, followed by a ininstrel show, the first ever to be presented by zu
Sophomore class. The annual Yearbook Dance ended their long list of activities.
