With the coaches, Mr. McDaniel and Mr. Bane, are the mem-
bers of the l963-64 wrestling team.
ln individual sports it is especially hard for an athlete to
maintain a perfect season record, but these four boys, "The
Fearsome Foursome", came very near to attaining that goal.

The Cardinal grapplers, under the leadership of Coach Chaun-
cey McDaniel, captured top honors in the state wrestling compe-
tition by edging out Arlington in a four point tilt. Gary Mitchell,
Dale Sidebottom, and Dan Carr, fought to third place berths.
Finishing second was Andy Thompson and capturing the top
position in his weight class was Tom Blankenship,
During season competition, the "Fearsome Foursome" com-
posed of Tom Blankenship, Andy Thompson, Dave Salomone, and
Dale Sidebottom, led the other team members to a ll-l-l season
record, while they had only one defeat among themselves.

The baseball team completed their season with a
perfect l6 and O record. Coach Richard Theil piloted
the Cardinals through the Marion County Tourney by
defeating Speedway, Ben Davis, and Warren to cap-
ture their tourth successive county championship.
