OZc JHJoM cs So ,s Octet Singing for P.T.A. and also Father and Son banqu3ts are a few of the activities performed by these eight boys. This group features Mike Krodle, Mike Fisher, Jim VanMeter, Steve Higgs, Dave Under- wood, Larry Smith, Tom Pickerel, Vaughn Harrison, and alternate Jim Whisler. The octet was accom- panied by judi Utterback at the District Solo and Ensemble Contest; they received a second place. 0,-c ,c. -a The orchestra under the direction of Bill Schmalfeldt participates in many activities throughout the school year- The Christmas prograrp, Easter Sunrise Service, and Baccalaureate services are activities in which the orchestra participates. They also perform in the Spring Music Festival and the Mid-State Orchestra contest. The orchestra is composed of members of the concert band and string section. Officers for this year are president. Marguerite Thomas; vice-president, Linda Link; secretary, Ann Gates; treasurer, Judi Utterback; and librarian, Sharon Klatte.

of 1962 Ly r ? Sextet These girls were selected from the Advanced Choir for tone quality and blend. The members, Judith Ut- ierback, Fran Merrett, Dianne Todd, Marcia Coates, Karen Dyer, and Theresa Utterback, attended the District Solo and Ensemble Contest where they ac- quired a first place. The group advanced to the State Contest to receive a second place. t -holr This musical organization provides musical accompaniment throughout the year for the many religious programs, such as the annual Easter Sunrise Service, given by the school. During the spring the choral group participates in the annual festival composed of most of the Marion County schools. Future plans for presenting an operetta are in the making. The officers in- clude Mike Fisher, president; Mike Krodel, vice-president; Susie Trotter, secretary; and Shar- on Resner, treasurer. .W vc. Octet Dave Underwood, June Linkel, Mike Fisher, Ann Trimpe, Mary Jo Barker, Mike Krodel, Jackie McGa- hey, and Mike Williams are the members of the mix- ed octet. ThiG group participates in several programs throughout the school year; some of which are P.T.A. and various church organizations. Accompanied by Judith Utterback and Susie Trotter, the group took part in the Distrct Solo and Ensemble Contest and re- ceived a second place rating.
