WHEN WE BECAME PROUD SENIORSI When we received our caps and gowns we realized that we have finally become proud seniors. We know that some will go on to college to further their educationg while others will go into service or into work in diversified fields. We reflect with a little sadness in our hearts as we march to the music of "Pomp and Circumstancef' that this is the last time we will be together as a class. Four years of association with one another has made an indelible impression upon us.

The religious highlight of the school year is the beau- tiful and moving Easter Sunrise Service. Marilyn Hohn has portrayed the angel for the past four years. Uur Life During The Holiday Seasons One of the most beautiful scenes of the Community during the holiday season is the Christmas decorations around the high school. Recordings of Christmas carols and stories were played in the evenings for the enjoy- ment of all. 'FA ,I X. AND THEN THERE WAS THE EXCHANGE STUDENT "l liked Southport from the first minute and quickly got acquainted with everyone. I think I couIdn't have come to a better school. Everything was entirely different for me and I had to learn many new things, but the kids were real friendly with me. l think clubs at school, convocations, and even pep sessions are good things. ln the long run, l think all school activities make school life more interest- ing and more enjoyable to the students. lt is a wonderful thing that the school is not only an institution for mere mental instruction and education, but a place which has to offer much more."
