Zelenka FTA Officers G. Swartz, S. Johnson, L. King, D. Zelenka The main objective of the Future Teach- ers of America organization, is to give the members an opportunity to be introduced to many aspects of the teaching profession. lt hoped to arouse interest in the teaching field and to provide knowledge of what to expect. The very impressive service for charter- ing, installation, and induction of her mem- bers, was an incentive to serious thinking concerning the various phases of teaching. Many plans went into their speciallpro- grams, such as attending lectures, work- shops, hearing and participating in discus- sions about teaching as a career. These were valuable stimulants to the young people to bring about a better un- derstanding and appreciation of the teach- ing profession.
