The varsity track team had a very successful season. Highlights of the season were, a four point victory over North Montgomery and very respectable showing in the Charger Relays, Delphi Relays, Frankfort Relays. Southmont hosted the second annual Mountie Games and gained valuable experience against such teams as Gary West, Bloomington South, and Evansville Harrison. Several outstanding performances were turned in by record holder Don Mills in the shotput. The Freshman Track Team lacked depth this year with only 13 members on the squad.
