The 1972-73 wrestling team got off to a good start this year by Winning the Granville Wells tourney. Other teams entered were Sheridan and North Salem. With only four seniors on the team the Mountie wrestlers should have a fine team next year. The boys who will not be back next year include Ieff Francis, Robbin Sheets, Marvin Kelsey, and Tohn Dellinger. John had an outstanding record of 19 wins and 2 losses to lead the team. Since this is a new sport we owe a lot to these young men who got the wrestling program started. Next year should be a good one with an undefeated Ir. High and reserve team moving in to some of the weight classes. Southmont 35 27 N. Vermillion Southmont 30 36 Sheridan Southmont 29 39 Clinton Prairie Southmont 40 28 S. Putnam Southmont 24 32 N.
