With practice and lots of blood, sweat, and tears, the football team had another successful year on the gridiron. It was hard to find the pigskin let alone hang on to it during the rainy football season. N ,HX With three North Putnam defenders bearing down on him, quarterback Terry Barker unloads the pass. Fullback, jerry Mitchell, turns on the speed after breaking away from a would- be Cascade tackler. 56 Quarterback jeff Davidson plows over Mounties and through Cougars on his way for a touchdown. With words of encouragement from coaches Coudret and Hess, the Mounties rolled to a share of the W. R. C. crown.

Due to inexperience, the B-Team gridders posted a 2.-4-1 record. But Coach Hallas remains optimistic and is looking forward to a more rewarding season next year. Always enthusiastic, the guys on the sidelines kept the starter's moral up during a few trying moments.
