DEDIUATIUN To IEBBY E. DRAKE whose capable and unstinting efforts as Business Manager of SMU publications for nineteen years has been responsible, in a large measure, for the consistently high ratings awarded them by national judging organizations. With the incorporation of student publications in the spring of l93U, Mr. Drake was appointed manager of publications to handle all business pertaining to the SEMI- WEEKLY CAMPUS and the BOTUNDA. These Were later extended to include the Student Directory and Mustang Magazine which was published in l947. As an SMU undergraduate, Mr. Drake was Business Manager of the CAMPUS,,a member of Cycen Fjodr, and the Y Cabinet. An instructor in the Business School, he is now acting head of the Marketing Department. Mr. Drake's unselfish allotment of time and efforts in assisting with the completion of the l949 BOTUNDA has been of immeasurable value in every phase of production. As a business man, a teacher, a loyal Mustang, and as a sincere friend, he justly deserves the admiration and respect of every student in Southern Methodist University. lt is With great affection and pride that the l949 BOTUNDA is dedicated to lerry E.
