Left to right: Potts, Milne, Bell, Montgomery, Woollard, Morey, Weir, Smith, Brooks, Simpson, Meletio, McEowen. 'Me S ' heads all student government and is composed of repre- sentatives from each of the different schools of the Uni- versity. The Council of 1945-'46 started the long awaited peace-time year by reviving the traditional homecom- ing program which had been a casualty of the war. The regular all-school social program was carried on throughout the year by the council. The high spots of this program consisted in a student-faculty picnic cmd an all-school open house. At both of these functions the professors and students mingled in a spirit of friend- ship and common purpose. The rewriting of the constitution was also un- der the supervision of the council. This work was undertaken in order to obtain a more workable and more flexible organ by which the students and council might work. The council was active throughout the year in trying to secure minor improvements by contact- ing the school administrators. Plans for student assemblies were formulated by several members of the council, and red fresh- man hats were sold to the freshmen girls. 26 PRESIDENT NORMA WRIGHT
