XVI What does the word extra-currieulari' mean to the multitude of students a To some it means a chance to throw themselves entirely into a juxtaposition of a great number of activities and organizations. Others pine away the hours in dingy apartments, rooms, and grottos, reading obscure novels and papers, drinking intoxicants, or playing cards, all the while thinking of how great it is to be away from the high school playrooms they helped create, from the slapping of sod, from midnight pranks, and from a majority of irresponsibilities. The wise student, however, avoids these laxities of self discipline and swings himself into the sunnier world ,of colors and shade, intellectual pursuit and the pursuit of intellect, study habits and fun... t SIU?
