The student connnittee appointed by the Student Council included lVIarsha Van Cleve, Ma1'ie Holirield, and Jeanine North. Class officers for the various classes assisted in the Honors Day Convocation as inarshals and ushers. Fraternities, sororities, alumni, departments. and individuals sponsored scholarships, awards and prizes for students with a ininiinuni over-all average of 4.00. Recent initiates in University honor so- cieties were named. Underclassnien 14.5 or ahoveb and upperclassnien 14.2 or ahoyel also received recognition for their high grades.
