XVhy you came here and why you are leaving is wrapped up in some mystery of education. For perhaps the first time in your college life you stop-and think. You can look at Southern and see only scrawny ivy plants trying to climb their cold walls. Or you can see a kind of hope . . . each brick a remembrance of a priceless night when you sat up drinking coffee and laughing until the early morning with friends who became a part of you. You may think of a light drizzly night when you came across campus and the rain was cool on your face and you stopped at the fountain to watch the drops make little rings that grew and grew until another drop broke its spell. Through your mind course memories of a year . . . two years . . . four . . . a time measured by friends, classes, coffee breaks, date call, finals-a thousand things.
