l New Deans Supervise Students Dr. Charles Jackson, Assistant to the President and Director of Research, is the link between the Federal government and the college in obtaining federal funds. He also supervises the Upward Bound Program for high school students. Dr. Lowell A. Logan, Academic Dean, formulates and enforces academic policies of the college. As dean of faculty he is responsible for the develop- ment and execution of the academic program at SSC. Donald A. Haefner, Dean of Students, is respon- sible for orientation counseling, housing, student activities and job placement. Miss Pat Weaver, Dean of Women, is in charge of the housing for women students. She also sched- ules the calendar of college events and supervises such student activities as SGA, The Association of Women Student and the cheerleaders. Ronald E. Jones, Dean of Men, oversees activi- ties of the men students and is in charge of facilities such as the union and campus parking space. DR. LOWELL A. LOGAN Academic Dean

Trustees Se s Colle e Policies The Board of Trustees is the legal agency in- vested with the authority to determine the general policies of the College. The members give of their time to lead the school, keeping in mind the best interests of the College and the students. The Board has the responsibility of determining all policies, fixing tuition rates and fees, appointing college officials and prescribing courses of instruction. Appointments to the Board are made by the Governor and confirmed by the Arkansas Senate. Each of the five members, appointed in consecutive years, serves a five-year term on the Board. Serving a second term as officers for the Board are J. H. Wilson, Presidentg Doyne Hunnicutt, Vice Presidentg and D. 0. Talbot, Secretary. Mumbers of the Board of Trustees are John H. Wilson of Magnolia, Dr. Bruce, Mrs. Ned Stewart of Texarkana, D. O.
