CGLLEGE As a district agricultural school the Magnolia Agricultural School has had battles to fight. .Ns an Agricultural and Mechanical College all former battles and accomplishments pale into insignif- icance. XYe. as students, believe that our College is doing more for the education of boys and girls of Arkansas than any other State insti- tution. considering the money expended. XYe back up this belief by inviting comparisons by those who wish to investigate. lt is a dark picture that we see when we look forward to the opening of our next session when we will have to turn as many of our boys and girls away as we are able to take in, on account of inadequate dormitory and class-room facilities. Hut on the other hand, it will be a chal- lenge to the mothers and fathers of this district that will not go un- answered. 'l'herefore, in the birth of our AX. X M. College, we are earnestly asking the people of ,Xrkansas for a greater ,X. K M. College for the Southwest district, not to gratify anyones personal ambition, but to satisfy a very real and urgent need for our brothers and sis- ters in this district. We are firm believers that right will pre- yailfl and before our State legislators meet again, we as students of this school are going to see to it that our representatives are fully acquainted with his crying need. XVe are assured by the authorities of the School that although the making of the school into an JN. K M. College, with full rights and privileges which go with such an institution. will broaden its op- portunities as such. yet at the same time the high school course will not be neglected, but will be strengthened to the last possible de- gree. ,Ev Fourteen S N E N N S S N SS Cb E lx?
