' Whineeeres Presents Mews ef Kelfzfermifyf Miss Daisy, you must excuse me. I haven't had a chance to shave. l was chased here all the way by a rhinoceros. lt's my husband! Rhinoceros, by the French playwright Ionesco, was presented as this year's spring play. The setting was a small provincial town in France. During early scenes rhinoceroses mysteriously begin to appear. This fad continues until all but one person has changed into a rhino. The truth is surprising when it is realized that these changes have come about due to an unfortu- nate- wave of conformity which captures the spirit of the entire town. The theme is that following the crowd and going along with current trends is easier than being an individualist. The play demonstrated to its audience that to be an individual, one must have a dynamic and genuine personality. Dining early play rehearsals, students give advice to improve the final performances.
