Hasflv Eapers Hvuducf Hrfnduciw Eharacfersf The opening dance line urges the audience to enjoy the show. The wizard and his faithful companion, the vulture, pause momentarily from scheming. Nothing could cheer the grouchy old king be- cause he was sore about someone having taken his son. But now Haggie and Baggie had to find a way for Son to gain his rightful place on the throne. This year's Knightlites performance, 2Castle Capers, was presented November 21-22. During this annual two-hour presentation, vari- ous dance lines and musical groups performed. The Betas sang '6Happiness ls to the king, but still failed to make him happy. 'sThe Knight in Rusty Armor was presented by the sophomore dance line. Senior Couples was a mixture of Rowan and Martin's Laugh-In and Mission: Impossible, and characters ranged from cowboys to girls. Last minute preparations by the make-up department are tolerated by many. Showing the uncanny and well-known co-ordi- nation of seniors, the senior boys' dance line developed ways in which to please the king. By 10 p.m. the king had discovered his lost son, Son had regained his right as heir to the throne, and Haggie and Baggie were thinking of new tricks.

Basketball Queen Scarlett McClain en- joys her reign over the dance with Mr. Evans. October 19 was the date of Southeast's 1968 Foot- ball Homecoming. At the half-time of a game in which the Knights were victorious over Manual, 28-19, the departmental clubs presented decorated cars in a parade, and Stephanie Bryant received the crown of Football Queen. At the dance that evening, students danced to the sounds of the Bobby Soul Show. St. Patrick's Day was the theme of the Basketball Homecoming Dance March 15. The Five Techniques of I azz provided music for the event. The luck of the Irish was the Scarlett McClain, who reigned as Basket- ball Queen. The Five Techniques of Jazz provided lively beats for the Basketball Homecoming Dance.
