Fine Arts Department Develops Personal Talents, Creativit Through classes in the fine arts, students learn to express themselves and to discover basic charac- teristics of personality. Speech classes offer experiences in all phases of speech-making and the theatre. They give students necessary confidence and poise in addressing a group in addition to a knowledge of stage drama. Art students strive to achieve creativity by ex- pressing themselves through the varied media of the visual arts. These cover the wide range from charcoal and paints to wax and glass. The presentations of the music department are important parts in many Southeast productions. The band and orchestra are often featuredg they also provide accompaniments.
