Modern Labs Assist Students in Language Comprehension Four foreign languages are offered at South- east to students who have an adequate knowledge of English and wish to accept the rewarding chal- lenge of Latin, Spanish, French or German. Latin is a cultural course as well as a language course. Through the translation of classical litera- ture and the study of ancient Roman society, stu- dents develop a basic understanding of man's his- tory. Spanish and French, as well as German, are taught as conversational languages. With an exten- sive language lab and coordinated tapes and books, students achieve a mastery ofthe language itself through usage. This method of study is based on the ALM program in which conversation is the stressed phase of a language. for var pla eqt gie bor Cor Tru
