Courses in art, drama and music constitute line arts classes at Southeast. In each of these three different areas of study, spirit asserts itself. Art students enter into city-wide competition and each year put on their own exhibition in the castle. Induction, Knightlites, spring play and Penthouse productions demonstrate how active drama students are. The music department, made up of choirs, choruses, glee clubs, band and orchestra, participate in con- tests, clinics and music festivals throughout the year. The purpose of fine arts is to introduce students to the cultural aspects of art, music and the stage. Each student takes at least one Hne arts class dur- ing his high school years. jeff Moore, drum major, keeps the band in time.
