H. HARRY R. MCMILLAN, P-rincipal DEAR SENIORS: HE is invisible yet very real. He is the ideal by which you as Knights and Ladies really live, not merely exist. He is pillar and tower of your daily life, your own Castle. Giving of himself, he gives most. Searching for one who will receive, he finds joy his reward. Working with love of his task or assignment, he binds himself to himself, to others, and to God. Refusing to wound the spirit or good name of Southeast, he takes pride in her achievements, ideals, standards, and traditions. Walking as a Spirit in the Castle, he supports all its activities and experiences personal pleasure and satisfaction that he is a part of his school, that he IS Southeast. He seeks his friends with hours to live and enjoy together, not with time to kill. He treats others with respect even when they are rude to him. He shows courtesy to others, not because they are gentlemen, but because he is one. No one saysof him that all was beauty here until he came. He works with the construction gang, not the wrecking crew. At eventide he returns home with gratitude in his heart for his parents, his teachers, his opportunities, and his responsibilities. And on his day of Com- mencement, he prays in the silences of his soul in gratitude for memories of life in the Castle. He is the LITTLEST CRUSADER. Sincerely yours, HARRY R. MCMILLAN, Principal

i7 f f 3 , . GEORGE R. POWELL, vice-Principal L ' DfAR'fSEN1oRs: The Littlest Crusader, if he is true to the ideals of Chivalry, is easily located among the students at Southeast High School. He is busy living the Code of Conduct which includes excellence of character and real achievement in scholarship. His habit is to right wrongs, protect the weakf, and demon- strate that brave Southeast Knights do love utruth, honor, freedom, and fair courtesyf, Both the true Knight and each fair Lady with whom he is fortunate to min- gle, deserve to win choice friends and valuable trophies that are available in the life of Our Castlef, During his five years in Southeast, he grows into a full appreciation of high spiritual values and shows a genuine regard for the rights of his fellowmen, irrespective of their race, religion, or economic condi- tion. Thus the Littlest Crusadern is certain to keep the respect of his class- mates and bring honor to the home from which he comes. Our best wishes go with each graduate whom we may expect to be a true Crusader among adult citizens. Sincerely, GEORGE R. POWELL, Vice-Principal
