MCMILLAN It has been my good fortune to be at Southeast High School six of the ten years since its opening. Southeast in that time has established an outstanding record in the training of youth under the eflicient leadership of Mr. Harry McMillan and his faculty supported by coopera- tive patrons and an American student-body, typical of the best to be found anywhere. VVe are grateful to the tax-payers of the Kansas City School District for a beautiful building, and we await with eagerness the construction of necessary additions which will facilitate the work of both teachers and pupils. XVe must guarantee to our youth both sound theory and specialized training to prepare each to take his place in a world where preparedness daily becomes more and more important. Through these educational experiences here, we hope our graduates may spread the ideals of freedom, pet- pctuate democracy in our land, and retain these as the best hope for good government throughout the world.
