Pictured above are our capable senior class officers- Dick Rothberg, president; Dick McGaw, vice-president; Susan Van Fossen, secretary-treasurer; Barb Frederick, social council mem- ber, Janet Lawry, chairman of the social council; and Ken Howe member of the social council. These officers not only were re ' sponsible for the basic planning of our activities, bu thel 'b - hind-the-scenes assistance was invaluable and worthwhile. wpp h u Gersmehi and Miss Mary Graham, shown right were chosen by the officers as our class advisers The choices' proved to be industrious, friendly, and extremely helpful SS advice as well as actual aid. To these two teachers we owe fl deal of our success throughout this all-important year § The Class of 1960 Remembers Archer Daze We will have these moments to remember The strains of this memorable tune echoed through our minds and hearts as we relived, at our Senior Banquet Leaves of Time, ' the many wonderful moments that we have shared as the class of I960, moments that we can never forget The unique banquet presentation afforded a fine opportunity to review the four exciting years we have spent as loyal Arch- ers of South Side. As freshmen we plunged into every activity, injecting our enthusiasm into all we met and pausing just lone enough to realize that we were just a little afraid and be wildered. By our second year of high school we were in the swing, proud not to be the youngest in the school. For our officers we chose Phil Carson, president; Ken Howe vice- president; Dick McGaw, secretary-treasurer; Merle Baldwin chairman of the social council; and Janet Lawry and Dick Rothberg, members of the social council. Under their able leadership we planned and enjoyed an entertaining and profitable party. b In our junior year we were confronted with the chal- lenge of school leadership; and we met that challenge with the tremendous capability reflected in our two class activi- ties, our banquet and our memorable Junior Prom These highlights were planned under the capable leadership of Dick Rothberg, president; Merle Baldwin, vice-president- Dick McGaw, secretary-treasurer; Win Moses, social coun- cil chairman; and Dan Tritch and Barb Frederick, social council members. Quickly moving into our final year at Archerland, we Seniors proudly became the real leaders of the school With the same enthusiasm we displayed during our first three years, we set out to make our senior year the very best When we, as members of the class of I960, look back over our Archer daze, we will undoubtedly recall these and other experiences as our moments to remember 16
