CONSTANCE LEONE Always looking on ihe bright side of life, Connie is a person who has many friends. She will be remembered by South Side for her good work on the Optimist. Good luck to a grand girl I ARTHUR LOVE In tennis love” indicates no score, but this Love certainly makes plenty of hits with all who know him. Athletic, sophisticated, courteous, and ambitious, this young Love will certainly live forever in the memory of his fellow classmates. DONALD MacPHERSON In his own quiet way, Don is constantly adding to his list of friends. Ever ready to laugh or cry with you, his sincerity has made him a well known apple in our basket of gaiety and fun. GEORGE LORDI A regular guy-that's George. He is the perfect combination of student, friend, and fun. Known by all for his fun-loving nature and ready helpfulness, he is a swell fellow to have for a friend. GLORIA LESTER A very friendly, cheerful, and hoooy person is hard to find, but we have one right in our midst, our Gloria. Among other things, Gloria enjoys singing with South Side's famed mixed chorus. We wish good luck to a fine miss. SANFORD LIEB If good things come in small packagos, we have the best, for whatever Sandy lacks in height, he makes up for with his superior intellect. Known for his participation in numerous activities, his nature has made him a sincere friend. BETTE ANN MARSH A cheerful disposition and a sincere, mature manner will best serve to introduce Bette. Her interests in the activities of the senior class have never dimmed, because of her sincerity of purpose she will long be remembered as a true friend.

GLADYS JACKSON Gladys is capable of doing many things well, among them being singing and dancing. She is a good student and a good friend to all who know her. She will undoubtedly obtain success in. everything she does. BETTY LAKE Betty is a gal with a sweet smile and winning wavs. This talented mis-, is co-captain of the twirlers and can also do a smooth tap and oe. And-she can make a paintbrush or a few sketching pencils talk. HAROLD JAMES The track team and his art work have made Harold well known around South Side. He has proven his artistic ability by drawing for the Optimist. He is friendly to all and is liked by everyone. EDWARD JOHNSON Besides distinguishing himself as a gentleman, Ed has won the applause and admiration of all South Siders because of his ability on the gridiron. He is an “all-round boy and is sure to succeed in everything he does. IRENE KOHEN She can be seen encouraging our teams on to victory as a cheerleader, or she can be seen with a group of her classmates as a sincere friend. Sweet, popular, and very amiable all characterize Irene. r)vVy STEPHEN LaSURE Steve has been successful in making his mark-both on the track and in the classroom. His ability to make friends and his congeniality have won him a place in our hearts. We wish good luck to a swell guy. MARION LAWSON As Secretary of the Senior Class, Marion has done more than a »ood job and during her years at South Side she has made more than enough friends. Her witty remarks and her ready grin have brightened many school days.

MARTHA McCLOUD Martha, a swee! young l®dy, s one of the quiet and reserved members of our class. She always has a cheery smile and a pleasant word for all. With these qualities, she has made a long string of friends. MARIAN MILLER A true friend in every sense of the word is Marian. She is kind and warm-hearted to all. She goes about her work with a quiet and sincere nature, always doing her best in everything. IRVING MONT If Irv were submerged in water we‘d bet that it would bubble, for that's the effect he has on his surroundings. Always the center of a laughing group, his nonchalance and carefree manner have become indispensible parts of our class. SANFORD MOORE Witty, musical, athletic and friendly - that's Sandy. He will long be remembered for leading the band as Drum Major. He may be small, but he handled a big job with a serious, yet cheerful attitude. VERA MURDZA Vera's dark, flashing eyes and raven locks have won her the admiration of all who see her. Her carefree attitude and charming ways have brought her many friends. With this combination so rare, she is bound for success. FRANCES NAUGLE Known to her many classmates and friends for her courteous ways, Fran is always pleasant, sociable, and considerate. She has a long list ot extra-curricular activities, but reigning supreme is her ability to twirl. JAY NORINSKY Jocular, jolly, Jay - he's one swell guy! In reading his cards, we see that with a multitude of good friends and with a very disarming manner, he will always be happy and will make others gay. 18
