JOHN CRANKFIELD Sincere and earnest in everything he does, John has endeared himself to all of us. Quiet, but ever ready with a smile, he has the ability to make friends easily, and in him they find a true friend. DONALD DEWLOW Don has learned the lesson that many of us have yet to realize-life is not always serious. Care-froe Don has shown prowess on the track and in the music class. We surely will remember him as the perfect classmate. EDWARD CROWDER Eddie is a star football player and an all-around good fellow. He has a ready sense of humor and a happy-go-lucky air. His winning ways have made him well liked and greatly admired by all. VIVIAN DEANS A sweet face and a sweet disposition portray Vivian. She has the ability to look on the bright side of things and has a great consideration for others. She has all our very best wishes. RICHARD DIXON To be joyful is his philosophy and to spread joy his policy-that's why Dick has become an outstanding member of our class. His generous and friendly nature have earned for him the friendship and respect of everyone ROBERT CUEVAS We will always remember Bob as one of the quiet members of our class. Hidden beneath his silence is a great liking for all his classmates. His easy-going ways will bring him success in the future. JANE DRANIKOWSKI Blonde, blue-eyed, a bellel, that’s our Jane. She's earned the honor of being everyone's friend and no one's enemy, and we're sure to remember her for the smile on her lips and the devil in her eye. 1

MARGARET BUKSAR The name Margaret derived from the Greeks meant a pearl; but our Margaret is more than a semiprecious stone. A true gem of a student and friend, she will make more than an efficient secretary. LAVINIA CHINN On the list that's entitled personality A the name of Chinn ranks high. Full of pep, vim, vigor, and vitality, as displayed by her cheerlead;ng ability,' La-vinia's high spirits enliven her surroundings and have won her innumerable friends. HARVEY BUSSELL Full of pep, fun-loving, and fancy free that's our boy Harvey. He has readily and steadily supplied us with humorous and witty remarks to make our four year stay at South Side a more enjoyable one. DOROTHY CAMPINO Take ore pair of precision roller skates, sprinkle a little sweetness, add a pretty face, and a happy smile, beat well and blend with friendliness. There you have our recipe for Dottie Campino, an important member of our class. RUTH CLARK Never speak unless spoken to has been advocated by the sages for centuries. Even though she says little, you can rest assured that when she does it's something worthwhile. Ruth will surely enter the field of success. DOLORES BUSTO Dolores can be identified by her boauliful blonde hair and charming smile. Her talents in music and languages have endeared her to the class. Dolores can shoulder responsibilities and we know she will lead a full and happy life. CAROLINA COBB When we think of Carolina, we think of a friendly person with quiet ways. We are sure that her future years will be happy ones because she has always been successful in her years at South Side. 10

JOAN DRANIKOWSKI The radiance of her hair can only be shadowed by the sparkle of her smile which was designed to light the dullest corner. Joan has an effervescent personality which has brought to her many pals and much popularity. ELVIRA FERNICOLA Elvira goes by the saying, Silence is more eloquent than words. Although she doesn't say much, she achieves honor in everything. High in intelligence and high in character, she will always be outstanding in all her accomplishments. DAISY EDWARDS Daisy is noted for her graceful and expert dancing. Her dancing is just one of her various interests in and outside of school. She has a cheerful personality which has won her many friends during her years at South Side. ISAAC EVANS Isaac is a reserved person who does his work well with a great deal of sincerity. Outwardly shy, he is always friendly. We are sure that with all these sterling traits, Isaac will long be remembered by his many friends. WERNER ENGELSBURG Werner's likeable manner and outstanding appearance have won him a place high among the senior students. His optimistic attitude toward life, coupled with a sparkling sense of humor have made him a wanted friend and one we'll long remember. IffliW JACK FISCHER A happy-go-lucky fellow with a happy-go-lucky smile, that's Jack Fischer, class of January 1950. During his four years in high school, Jack has proved himself to be a good sport and a good friend. DONALD FINDLEY Effervescent, imaginative, popular, even these don't seem to do justice to Don. A strong link in the chain that is our high school career, we owe more than a proportionate share of our loughs, fun and good times to him.
