jim Price, ace distance runner for the
Saxon cindermen, won hoth the 880 and the
mile ran, setting a new district and school record
of 4.18.6 in the mile. Speedster jesse Glen won
both the 100 and 220 yard dash, also setting a
new school record in the 220 of 22.4 seconds.
These two accomplishments helped to bring the
ninth consecutive district 8-A1 track crown to
the Saxons. Dong Brown, George Yeilding, lim
Price, Gary Papenfns, jesse Glenn represented
the S oath team at the State meet held in C orval-
lis, May 25 and 26. Brown took a first in high
jump, and Yeilding, second in the shot pat.
Vogt wins 100 yard dash.
