and Staff Miss Maxine Heringer assumed the position of Dean of Girls at South High this year. She graduated from Minot Teachers' College in Minot, North Dakota and obtained her master's degree from Willamette University. Miss Heringer taught in New Zealand for a year under the Fulbright Exchange program and has been at South High for four years. She was advisor to the class of '59 and cadet teaching advisor previous to becoming Dean of Girls. Mr. Neil Brown, our good-natured vice-principal, mainly super- vises the instructional procedure to be followed during the year. A graduate of Willamette University, he obtained his master's degree there also. Mr. Brown was vice-principal at Parrish Junior High before coming to South High where he has been for the past tive years. His duties include everything from advising the scholarship chairman to directing lunch-line traFlic. Mr. Del Ramsdell became South High's new Dean of Boys this year. He graduated from Willamette University where he also obtained his master's degree. Previous to coming to South High five years ago, Mr. Ramsdell taught speech at North High. Last year he taught English and assisted with various counseling du- ties. Mr. Ramsdell's new iob is a demanding one, but he finds it interesting and enioyable. He always exhibits the finer qualities suited to such a position and is to be commended for a iab well done.

Our school is young and our teachers, whether young or old, are all young at heart. As our school grows so will its teaching staff expand.
