WELDO AWARD WINNERS Welclon Fair Play Awards are given in recognition of outstanding sportsmanship and fair play exhibited in all school activities. The six senior winnners of the awards, traditionally considered to be among the school's highest honors, are selected by a committee of twelve students and thirteen faculty members. Gold pins and certificates are presented to the winners, whose names are engraved on the Fair Play Cup. The award was originated in 1929 by Mr. W. R. I-I. Weldon, retiring president of the school board, and has been perpetuated by his sons since his death.
