OREWORD: Again the Dial presents itself to its kind readers in the fond expectation that it will receive the same warm welcome that was accorded to preceding edi- tions. Through the generosity of our advertisers, this issue of the Dial has been made possible and the sin- cere gratitude of the Editors must bespeak the kindly appreciation of our many readers. . The Theme of this year's Dial is the Centenary observance of the Death of Sir Walter Scott whose gifted pen has so nobly enriched the minds of mil- lions during the past one hundred years. Through this annual publication, the Faculty and the Students extend the heartiest greetings to all the Alumni and to all the Friendsof the School and confidently trust that the brief account which they will find here of the every day happenings will serve to keep alive their genuine interest in South Park.
