Sunrise to Sunset Each year at South has been represented with special events Which, through the dedication of the students, has made it special, unequaled, and distinct from previous years. During the year of 1966, every individual at South experienced something which instilled in him lasting memories of South High. When a Colonel ended his last class of the day, he had not completed his contribution to South. Our prom, homecoming, and the Senior Banquet were occasions which made a South day part of our life from sunrise to sunset. Surely the devotion of the athlete in his long hours of hard practice paid off in our victory over Bishop Carroll, and our fall play, ul-leaven Can Wait, could not have been such a great success if it were not for the efforts of an enthusiastic cast. These events mark our 1965-66 school year. Colonel history at South has not been merely a schedule of classes, it has been a Way of life. Each year the purpose of South has been to promote the education and maturity of every student, and to open for him the doors toward a successful future. Each student this year worked hard toward that long-awaited day when he would be granted his high school diploma, a justification of his accomplishments through the previous years. ' The Sabre staff of 1966 has attempted to capture in words and pictures, that which was a true and important part in each Colonel's life. 5 ii , P 6, f W W - .
