A fE2,I85,200 conTracT Tor general consTrucTion was awarded To The Clarence E. Vollmer ConsTrucTion Com- pany in June, l957. The Moore-l2oberTson Company obTained The fE649,725 plumbing and heaTing conTracT, and 5ouThwesTern Elec- Trical Company insTalled 35287032 worTh oT elecTrical maTerials. BuilT-in eguipmenT in The building added anoTher 5260,- 000 To The cosT, while movable eguipmenT and TurniTure amounTed To S225,000. The parking loT, ouTside physical educaTion TaciliTies, and oTher miscellaneous expenses were lisTed aT iBl20,000. ln The building, a ToTal oT 226,200 square TeeT OT class- room and auxiliary TaciliTies enclose 5.2 acres oT area under a conTinuous rooT. Four wings reach wesTward Trom The 450-TooT norTh- and-souTh main corridor. Wing B houses nine business classrooms, The main oTTice, The guidance cenTer, and The healTh cenTer, The library, English, language, and iournalism class- rooms are Tound in Wing C.
