As juniors, they sponsored numerous car vvashes, bake sales, and dances to raise money for their senior year. The class brought many changes rather than stick to tradition. The football te of '78 were City Co- Champs and compiled a statistical record that snapped a ten year string of not so fortunate teams. In regard to breaking tradition a nevv site for the Senior Class- Trip vvas chosen, and off vve Went to Hershey Chocolate World. In our steel valley this has not been a successful year due to lay-offs, loss of jobs and bad weather. Despite all these problems which affected our par- ents, the year to us was still a success. The Seniors really showed enthusiasm in making the best of their year. A bright side of the year was the Senior Mixer when seniors did just that - mix. The Variety Show was an aura of Fantasy and happiness. Many had good times when they sup- ported these functions. The anticipated event, the Prom, vvas an evening of enchantment. The year vvas climaxed as proud seniors strided to receive their diplomas, The officers that led the class to achieve this are: seated - President, Sanford Washington, Vice-President, Patricia Duke, standing - Treasurer, Denise Fearsg Secretary, Michelle Ad- kins. la .Q ,T flirt 1978 Class Officers Senior Advisor Boar P it . ,, ,4. Their purpose deci- sions and keep others in- going on, they also tried to en- courage more seniors to participate by having money making projects such as car vvashes, a dance in the cafeteria, and sponsored the sale of The Warrior Staff is very sorry that so many seniors are not pictured in this yearbook. Unfortu- nately, they did not turn their glossies in on time. You will find their names listed in the direc- tory. How about Angel Papito Romero's .421 batting average and his making All-City.
